Taulihawa Eye Hospital (TEH), Kapilvastu
Only one non government, not for profit making charitable eye hospital in town. Run by Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Lumbini Eye Institute & Research Center (LEI) Shree Ran-Ambika Shah Eye Hospital Bhairahawa. TEH was established in Shravan 15, 2053 BS (July 1996) as a Primary Eye Care Center with the support of Seva Foundation US in Downtown of Taulihawa Municipality later on it called Kapilvastu Municipality. Hospital is to be found at Netrajyoti Path, Aanandbag-3 in Taulihawa, which is 46KM West from LEI, Bhairahawa; 33KM East from Krishnanagar and 12KM North from India Border.
Hospital is rendering more than 30K OPD and more than 1200 Cataract operations each year excluding minor surgeries. More than 60 percent of Cataract Surgeries were done free of cost to the patient those were driven from countryside. Likewise, 5-7K School going children were examined each year to provide free glasses those were suffering of refractive error. More than 20, Diagnostic-Screening and Treatment (DST) eye camps are the regular program to screen the cataract from 7-8K population of out-of-the-way villages. More than that, Providing Eye Health Education to the School teachers, Health workers, FCH volunteers are our regular program.
Hospital Opens 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM except Saturday. Hospital team of 23 dedicated professional provide quality eye care service at affordable price without any hassle. Our motto is No One Should Blind due to the monetary reason.
