Gulmi district is on of the beautyful district of Nepal sorrounded by green hills.Tamghas is a district headquarter of Gulmi which is connected with the popular and holy place Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha by black-topped road.Tamghas is situated on the lap of 7500 ft high Resunga hill.Resunga, a hill of amazing geographical setting and fascinating beauty, is very much rich of biodivercity. It is a store- house of diverse wild lives and wild plants ranging from semi-tropical to temperate forests. From Resunga, to the north are popular and shining Dhaulagiri, Annapurna Machhapuchre peaks as well as Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range and south green Chure range( small hills). Sunrising is very beautyful from Resunga. Gulmi district is full of differrent culture, religion and natural heritage.From Gulmi one can easily go for trecking to Dhorpatan, a very beautyful wild life conservation area. One can enjoy the raffting facility on famous and holy Kaligandaki Rever lise in this district.
Some volunteers are required for NNJS primary eye care centre Tamghas. The road is 134km long from nearest airport Bhairahawa. One of the ancient and famouse historic city Tansen is on the way 74km far from Tamghas.
Volunteers will be provided free accomodation and fooding.They have to bear their travelling cost by themselves.
The ophthalmic assistant of Primary eye care centre and volunteers jointly provide community-bassed eye screening programmes in rural villages. The ophthalmic assistant diagnosis and treats eye diseases in the field, and surgical patients will be brought to the primary eye care centre for surgery.
Volunteers will have an opportunity to observe as well as to deal with certain problem of community.
