Eye Hospitals
This year, Biratnagar Eye Hospital 58,429 patients examined 12,301 surgeries performed
(BEH) Biratnagar has successfully
completed its infancy period. It has
progressed rapidly into a widely
well recognized eye hospital fulfilling
its main objective of delivering affordable
high quality comprehensive
and tertiary level ophthalmic services
to the economically poor and
underprevileged people of the community.
At present it is providing
eye services mainly in Koshi zone;
however, patients from neighbouring
Indian states (Bihar, Jharkhand,
West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya
and Uttar Pradesh) are also availing
of the services. Right now it is
rendering the services in the rented
building which will be shifted after
the EREC building is completed.
